Wondering why I've been so MIA lately???

Well...probably not; I'm sure no-one lost any sleep. But here is a big part of the reason my blogging has been somewhat lacking of late.

WHO MAGAZINE'S SEXIST PEOPLE 2012 COVER SHOOT!

Featuring the beautiful cover girls Ricki Lee Coulter, Jessica Mauboy & Megan Gale, shot by top Australian Photographer Chirs Colls.

Now, I'm sure I'm slightly bias, but I think it's a fucking sexy cover! Black, textured, strong lines, clean silhouettes and subtle touches of gold. An edgy departure for Who Magazine, but I'm totally loving the direction they took with this years cover, and had SO much fun being a part of the issue for the 3rd year running.

It was an EPIC undertaking for our humble styling team, led by Lara Lupish, but here are the awesome results of all our hard work for Who Magazine's Sexiest People 2012.

So here it is....Ricki Lee's "Crazy" music video that I worked on while assisting stylist Lara Lupish.

I personally think it looks fucking amazing!!! But I guess I'm bias :)

Ricki Lee Coulter: Covergirl Launch Event

Last Tuesday night a select group of industry professionals gathered at the beautifully renovated Museum Of Contemporary Art for the launch of Covergirls' new face:  Ricki Lee.

While assisting Lara Lupish, we dressed Ricki Lee in a BREATHTAKING Cavalli dress for the party, and had an INCREDIBLE gold sequined, one of a kind playsuit designed for her performance.

Ricki Lee Coulter: CRAZY!

Well this has definitely been an intensely busy and somewhat psychotic few weeks!!!

I once again assisted Lara Lupish, but this time the job was quite different from any other we'd done before. We were brought on as Ricki Lee's styilsts and costume designers for the video clip to her latest single, "Crazy".

The video was set in this amazing old mental asylum, and the concept included 3 characters playing against each other; the nurse, the psychiatrist and the patient - so we had to find looks to suit accordingly.

It was such an interesting process to be involved in, as we not only sourced pieces for the looks, but we also designed the straight jacket for her amazing "patient" look. Being a part of the process right from the beginning - including analyzing the brief, to initial sketches/designs to attending meetings with the costume maker - through to the final fitting was such a stressful and creatively exhilarating experience. I just hope everyone loves what we created as much as I do!
