Advertising Campaign

Shot this advertising campaign last week for a shopping centre while assisting Lara Lupish.

Here's Lara draping the fabric to make a beautiful dress - girl's got skill!

 Make the fabric FLY!

Vivienne Westwood SS Campaign

Super cute, completely quirky and totally Vivienne Westwood.

And I pretty much melt for anything photographed by Juergen Teller.

Luf!

Victoria Beckam SS 2012 by Quentin Jones

Welcome to world of Victoria Beckam! It's too damn cute for words, so let your senses take it all in - and I just love the paper-like effects!

Lanvin's 2012 S/S Ad Campaign

I love this video for Lanvin's 2012 SS Ad Campaign. It instantly put a sparkle in my eye and a shimmy in my shoulder's. I've recently found that so many fashion videos are so serious and heavy with dark, ominous overtones. And while I do thoroughly enjoy that...WHERE DID ALL THE FUN GO? I find it so refreshing to see something with so much exuberance and energy.

Quirkiness and intrigue are generated through this kind of "static/non-static" style of movement that has been created. This interesting cross-breed of the stills creating the motion (which I guess is how it generally occurs) gives the video a unique visual aesthetic and has kept me going back to watch it over and over again. I also think it's very clever that it is able to make such close reference to the actual still shoot, without being just another behing-the-scenes video.

Wang Does Die Antwoord

I am completely intrigued and slightly bewildered by the use of Die Antwoord in Alexander Wang's Spring 2012 campaign for his diffusion line T by Alexander Wang.  I am definitely a fan of this quirky and bizarre rap trio and am interested to see the link between them and Wang's collection - if the small glimpse of prints and the large amount of energy from this clip are a thing to go by, it's sure to be an interesting one.

Versace S/S '12 Ad Campaign and Gisele Bundchen

Sexy, sultry, stilettos, and thigh-high slits is just what happens when Gisele Bundchen and Versace get together.

And just look at those fucking legs!

Melbourne Bitches!

Hey peeps....sorry I've been so MIA lately, but it's a very busy time of year in fashion land!

So I had my first interstate job last week in Melbourne, thanks to stylist Marina Didovich. It's a little bit confusing, but the shoot involved a Sydney-based stylist, at a Melbourne studio, for the Canberra Centre Christmas advertising.

So it was all a bit of a fuckin whirlwind!

I wearily awoke at 4am last Wednesday. The cab arrived with Marina in tow and we made our way to the airport with our 7 suitcase for a 6am flight.

Once we hit the ground we headed straight to the advertising agency for a final run-through - with advertising you're given a very specific brief to follow so we just had to make sure that the ad agency and the client were happy with everything.

After the meeting we finally headed to our hotel...

Where I discovered that I had my very own room (and king size bed!)...

And then it was back to work to pick up a few more bits and pieces for the shoot the following day, before collapsing and having dinner in bed!

By the way, did I mention the mammoth amounts of coffee I consumed that day? This was my very favourite:

We arrived at 8:30am the next day for the shoot. It was basically non-stop all day, with my main responsibility consisting of wrapping all the "presents" and making a necklace and headpieces - I'm totes a designer now!

My wrapping and accessories were a success, as well as the shoot as a whole and we finally wrapped the shoot at about 7pm, where we jumped straight back into a cab, headed to the airport and went home.

So there was really no time to do anything but work, but it was such a great experience that I don't even care. And even better...I'm going to be back in Melbourne in 2 weeks doing the same thing for a Brisbane shopping centre!!!

So I just want to give a big shout out to Marina for having me assist!

"My Woolies" Ad

I was walking around my local Woolworths the other day, and came across the IPhone Ad  I did a couple of weeks ago.

It so cool to actually see the things you work on exist in the world!

Awkward Finger Placement Much?

Is it just me, or is the placement of Aymeline Valade's fingers in this Just Cavalli campaign a little...wrong?

Maybe I just have a sick mind?

I Assisted This Shoot...

I assisted stylist Lara Lupish on this shoot with Jonesy and Amanda for their WSFM radio show. They will be appearing on billboards and buses all over the city as well as one of those massive billboards at the airport!

By the way...I sourced the red dress in tiny dancer!

Chanel's Ad Campaign

Chanel's Fall 2011 advertising campaign takes on a much edgier look thanks to styling by former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief, Carine Roitfeld and Karl Lagerfeld behind the lens. I personally love this 'unconventional' look and slight quirky feel to the campaign - it feels much fresher and younger, while still maintaining an effortlessness beauty to it.
